fixitrod
Okay, I'm not buying paddles right this minute, but I need to know what is best for me. All the searches I have done, people didn't really know what they want... I do. I could care less about turning at the dunes. I want to go straight and get there fast. I don't know what size, how many paddles or what size rim. I was thinking a 9 or 10 paddle hauler. 8" rim on a 20 inch tire or a 9" rim on a 22" I won't be riding the sand but 1 or 2 times a year. I may use them in deep snow so they can't be wimps. My quad is set up for motocross/trails at the moment but has 20" tires on it. It is a 4mm ported stroker with fatties and 28mm carbs (yes small, but they work on low end). Running 93 pump gas. I think it was ledofthezep that found some nice inexpensive tires very similar to haulers, but I can't find the post. Any help would be appreciated. This is something I'm not familiar with. Thanks
boonman
I would go with a 20-10-10 10 paddle xtreme hauler. I have The 8 paddle tire of this and I love it. The xtreme hauler has a superb material, and it will last you forever. Tough as nails, and will hook and put you where you want to be. ledofthezep
20-10-10 10 paddle xtreme hauler. Would be a great choice for you. I'm running some generic "Sand King's Turbo Paddles" 20-10-10 8 paddle. They're a bit taller on the paddle than the haulers, and built much better. And they're a bit over $100 cheaper....got them at http://www.jimssandtoys.com (shop in Waynoka, OK--LS) They even recommended those over the haulers & said they've been selling the shit out of them & haven't had any problems with them. They hook up just as good as my 9 paddle regular haulers did. I went with the 8 paddle option because I'm running a -2 swingarm, not sure what others they offer. BenBB
I run the same as boonman, 20x10x10 8-paddle Hauler Extremes, and love them. They are great for all-around, but it sounds like you might want to consider 21x11x8's for drag racing...not sure since the Extremes and some old Cheng Shin Dune hoppers are all I've used, both 20". Those Sand Kings look great tho led, especially the price...
spoin39
Hey rod, I have had some bad experiences with the 10" rims, if you jump much or get a lot of air they will flatspot the rim bead cause there isn't alot of sidewall to absorb the landing. I like the 8" rim, haven't flatspotted them yet. My paddles are 20-10-8 8 paddle haulers and really like them.
rzcolobanshee
Don't get 20's, you'll eventually try 22's and never go back. If there are no roots or rocks or anything to break your paddles then get 22x11x8 10 paddle triple buff haulers. If there is any debris get the same size 9 or 10 paddle regular or double buff xtreme's I just re-read your post, if you're only going 2 times a year get the tires led suggested, but for sure get 22's, especially for the snow, you will have much more ground clearance
ledofthezep
Those Sand Kings look great tho led, especially the price... Yeah,..price & what they told me about them made me go with them over the 9 paddle Xtreme haulers. They were like $168 out the door.
BenBB
Do you know if they have those in 21" or 22" led? Couldn't find anything but Skat-Trak tires on their site. Don't you think Fixitrod would be better off with the larger ones like rz said?

I have 20 10 10 on 10 paddles and they dont hook that well with my 60 hp motor and I bottom out slamming the frame into the sand with the 20 inch tires. I went to a +6 swing arm and am going to get 22 11 8 on 10 paddle extreme double buffs. I am not going to chance it with tripple buffs because of all the glass at the bottom on oldsmobile hill in glamis. Like fixrod said you want to go straight and fast so get these size tires if not skat traks. Or you could just buy my on season 20 10 10 10 paddles with dougles blue label rims. These tires are perfect condition.
fixitrod
Here's the response I got back from them led They only make King's Tires in a 20" with 8 paddles. They're $139.00 on 8" wheels and $159.00 on 10".
Chemical Castration
Dont go with a 20" tire. What size is your swingarm? What kind of sand are you gonna be riding in?
