ruff_rida69
ok, I was wondering if there was any easyer way to get the ball joints into the spindles without hammering the hell out of it? I just painted my a-arms and I don't wanna mess them up with a hammer. Thanks in advance, Jonathan
fixitrod
I ususally just run an impact wrench on the bolt to get the ball joint on. As soon as you start to tighten the bolt, the should " bite " and not turn. This will allow you to tighten them to specs.
ledofthezep
I put a just a little grease on the bolt & played with it until it dropped into the spindle, then moved the spindle around & found a sweet spot where the bolt wouldn't spin when I was putting the nut on...tightened it up & shee was good to go. boonman
I have never had a problem with spindles and ball joints.... I switched them often as well. Always went smooth...
ruff_rida69
I dunno but for some reason these a-arms were really easy to get back in then my old ones, it only took like 5 mins. to do all 4, thanks for the help anyway, Thanks, Jonathan
Blue Duece
clamp them off with vise grips then tighten the nut........
.
another easy way to do it is to take a nut that is bigger than the thread for the balljoint and put that inbetween the spindle and nut and tighten it down. It should bring the balljoint down into the spindle far enough that it'll stop spinning. I used an inner race from a bearing but a nut should work as well.
