Weak Banshee

I have been running through some coolant lately on 03 Banshee. I decided to do a compression test and discovered each cylinder is at about 95-100 psi. I know this is way lower than it should be at an elevation of around 800 ft. Thinking I overheated. I pulled the head off and changed the head gasket. The old gasket didnt show any signs of leaking and the cylinders didnt look scored, the top of the pistons looked good. Anyways a compression test with a new gasket showed the same results. Come to find out when the K&N filter was installed, it wasnt rejetted. What would the possible problem be?

you were running it lean if it was not re-jetted, which probably heated it up more than it should have and helped cause this problem.

I would bore it if the clearance is off, get some new pistons and rings, another new gasket set and some new jets for your carbs. Do WOT testing untill you get it right.

Are you sure the compression tester is accurate?
