well im thinking of getting some trinity mods and some cheetah cylinder mods for my banshee that will cost bout 3,333 bucks that'll give me a 421cc 90+hp banshee +dmc headers+k&n filter+timingplate...... the shop im moding at has a trinity 535cc banshee engine that costs 7,777 not quite my price range so im thinking of gettin the trinity and cheetah mods

so what do u guys think will this Mx banshee be able too beat them yfz's and raptors ?

ive got spacers front and back , nerfs, and a set of rear razrs tires for handlin

every1 says that banshee's handle like shit on the mx track and ive riden a few times on our MX track and my banshee handled great i just wanna know what u guys think??

oh yeah and a guy said that if i do these mods that ill have to get a longer swing arm to keap the nose down(that'l really ruin my handlin) i dont think it will need that , again what do u guys think.. hehe ?

em its AN 03 banshee if that makes a difference

:) thanx loads :)

my honest opinion is that your crazy.... I dunno about you but that is way to much power than what you need for around the track... If you want a true MXer then shorten your swing arm get an extended axle and arms and some really good shocks and then you can think about power mods... Power doesn't help you around the track... a good handling quad and a skilled rider is what will beat the yfz's and raptors... Also with all that power the guy is right you will need a longer swing arm however a longer swing arm isn't something you want for around the track... if you are only going to ride dunes then i would say get the trinity kit and swing arm and forget about your quads handling but for around the track your better off with smaller mods no big time engine mods.....

wow, um lets start, thats a hell of alot ot power on a tight track, and on a track a banshee will keep up with a 450 on short sprints, what i would do is some new shocks aarms and a axle, spacers can be really dangerous when jumping, then get a cool head from like noss a 2-1 pipe and a shortened swingarm from mrmatt on here does a hell of a good job, and that'll be about the same, and it'll feel and ride like a whole new quad

90 hp for an mx bike is waaaaaaaay to much power. 65 70 hp max to get the job done,on a banshee all that extra money should be spent on suspension.you would have to be one big mofo to be able to throw around a heavy ass banshee with 90 hp worth of balls on an mx track.i used to take my banshee to a track every weekend with an mx port, pushing 65 hp.shee would throw me around, suspended and all, wide axle.

You can build a killer MX engine for half that price and actually be able to hook it up to the ground with proper suspension mods and still spend less money, not to mention probably turn faster lap times....Jim

4mm stoker would be better. Just my opinion. I have a 90 hp banshee and on asphault it smokes the tires so damn fast its not funny. I can't even imagine getting it to hook up in dirt. It throws alot of sand thats for sure but I think a 4mm stroker would be perfect. Not a big bore either. I have one and its a great engine and bet Jim at Passion can get the job done a hell of alot cheaper. Trinity's to much money for what you get. 7,777 better have billet cases and a 20mm crank in her. good luck deciding.

i gotta go with jim here......i have the trinity shit...just get a trinity sticker....have passion build your motor and stick those other 5g's into your chassis and suspension........guys think their bikes are fast until the get to 50 yards of whoops or are faced with a 60 footer thats do or die...and every straight is off camber..you take NYUK's dragster for example, he would totally smoke me in a 100 yard dash (and i have close to his horse power) but on a mx track id just blow his doors off and then probally come pick his broken ass up off the track, take him to the emergency room and then buy him a beer......85 ponies is real fuckin hard to hang onto when your not going straight on flat ground......you need to think about hangin on ....ill bet right now you cant hold it pinned over some whoops, 3 feet apart, lined up for as far as the eye can see, 100 yards into them youd either shut down or fill yer leathers with shit.....practice hanging on to that bitch......my fastest times come from endurance and timing.....my motor just pulls me away from bikes that have crept up on me when ive relaxed..........

oh and completly shit can the spacers......if those have held up your riding slow.....those bitches would last half way around the track on my bike......id snap them off first berm i slammed, or the first time i got squirlly on a jump......running spacers is asking for pain if you go fast......if you rec ride, run the spacers.....grab a set of gary at quicksands aarms, shorten your swing arm, get some great shocks, set them up correctly, go ride, then decied how much more power you need.......

You can have all the power in the world but if its not properly setup to ride to what you want it to do then youre gonna lose. Hell I'm building a drag bike right now and with the money im throwing into the suspension and tires and the whole setup I couldve just got me some cheetah cylinders with a 10mm crank hell id have 120+HP right there but i would still get my ass kicked because of my whole bike wouldnt be setup properly for drag racing. It would even get to the point where it wouldnt even be safe to ride on it. Just my $.02

i raced a trinity 535 banshee at comp park back when it was open and i smoked the crap out of the guy with my mx ported motor. he was all over the damn place, couldnt hook up for nothing. it was waaaaay to much power for any mx track. and running spacers on any track with any bike is a disaster waiting to happen. get your suspension done so the bike works properly then go a little bigger in the motor. plus running anything that big will put you in a different class where youll be racing with guys that are crazy fast and have the suspension and the balls to do that kind of thing. lister to these guys and youll get somewhere. btw this guy was so out of control a 400 ex passed him up  later

When thinking MX....I'd think more about suspension & chassis before any motor work...well maybe pipes, filter, & tires.

Shorten your swingarm -2 & get you some good A-arms & shocks setup for your weight & MX. With even 7 G's you could easily get this done, along with gussetting & powder coating the frame. Hell,...get a stock shee with those mods & no motor work and you'd still be better off. IMHO...

i dont know what u guys are talkin bout that the spacers arent good ive been at the track a few times and theres this 1 table top the biggest jump on th etrack and i hit it goin 5th gear and didnt clear it fully came close though the last time and my spacers were fine oh and how much do spacers add i think it 1 inch each side and i cant get a-arms and an axel cause its kinda expensive ithink its like over 500$ for them + my trailer is kinda small i jus t went to have a look and it can handle bout 1 more inch plus the spacers but i dont know how much they add?

can i get a-arms and axles that add 3inches and could you also tell me how much aproxametly the price would be?

and what does up1 inch mean does it lift you rbike an inch only from the front of your bike?

thanx

2+1 a-arms would be 2 inches wider 1 inch forward.....the first # is the width the second is how forward are they......your lucky the spacers havnt snapped.....i have a friend who broke his arm and shoulder running spacers, he probally wouldnt have minded so much if they broke on a jump, he was doing 60mph down a whooped out straight and his left front snapped off......theres a reason your rim wants to sit flat on the hub?.......450 bucks for new arms.....
