Can I Use a Real-Time Speed Tracker to Monitor My Yamaha Banshee's Speed During Off-Road Rides?

Recommended Posts

I've been riding my Yamaha Banshee for a few years now, mostly on off-road trails and dunes, and I'm always trying to push the limits of what it can do. Recently, I've been curious about tracking my exact speed during rides, especially when I'm tackling different terrains. I heard about a tool called a "Real-time speed tracker" that can monitor speed in real-time and display it in m/s, km/h, and mph across multiple devices.

I'm wondering if anyone here has used a Real-time speed tracker while riding their Banshee? How accurate is it, especially in off-road conditions where the terrain is uneven and there are frequent speed changes? I'm particularly interested in knowing if it's reliable when riding through sand dunes or rocky trails, where the Banshee's speed can vary quite a bit depending on the incline and surface.

Also, how do you go about setting it up on your Banshee? Is it something that can be easily mounted on the handlebars, or do you just keep it in your pocket and check it after the ride? I'm not looking for anything too complex, just a straightforward way to know how fast I'm going in real-time, especially when I'm trying to see how the Banshee handles at higher speeds.

Lastly, does the Real-time speed tracker work well in remote areas where there's limited connectivity? I usually ride in places where cell service can be spotty at best, and I wouldn't want to rely on something that needs a constant connection. If it does work offline, does it still maintain the accuracy and real-time aspect that I'm looking for?

Any insights from fellow Banshee riders who have experimented with this or similar tools would be greatly appreciated. I'm excited to see if this could add a new dimension to my riding experience and help me better understand the performance of my Banshee in various conditions. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice you can share!
