dr.dikenballs
I just bought this banshee about a week ago, rode like a dream the first two rides. I took it out about an hour ago and notice that it seems pretty sluggish. i thought it was just warming up. but it wasn’t doing too good on shifts either. i tried giving it some gas in first gear and it just blew and stopped. crank is stuck and there’s is now a hole in the case. no idea what happened. Help on how to fix it and how to prevent it in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jereme6655
What has/had been done to the motor in terms of modifications? Performance parts? What was the jetting? What oil and ration were you mixing the gas at? Like Loco said….full rebuild top to bottom time on the engine.

Like Loco said….full rebuild top to bottom time on the engine. supposedly fresh top end. it had gotten upgraded carbs and pipes. i’m not sure if they had bored it or kept top end stock. jetting was 220. oil was 32:1 but then bumped to 40:1 using motorex cross power 2t (what the previous owner gave me) then i used some lucas two stroke because im currently in the middle of nowhere and ran out. i wish i could tell you more but i haven’t had it for long and haven’t been able to make it back home to use my tools yet.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jereme6655
Man…..I won’t lie 220 seems way lean for pipes. You also say the carbs were upgraded….. what were they upgraded too??? pull the plugs and pop the head off and show us photos of the tops of the pistons and the electrodes on the spark plugs…..
