raxen
The nozzles are quite small so any reed spacer on the marker should have clearance for it. The best was to install it on your friend's ride would be to get a caliper and take very accurate measurements of the intake and have a reed spacer plate made that way there is no carb mutilation. Once you drill and tap holes in the carb for a nozzle, nothing ever is the same again.

SUPERR5
Raxen, I will be running a rd 400 at the salt flats this summmer. The fuel class allows nitrous. The problem is traction. I cant use a strong hit. Can I set up a system that will give me gradual power? What problems will I incur? In your oppinion is nitrous the wrong fuel to use for this application (long full throttle pulls). Thanks
Justintoxicated
one of my friends has a kit that didn't use a battery, it ran off some type of pressure injection system. He went through a few that ran on the battery and kept burning out the pumps, he likes his new kit much better, but im not sure on its availability. Have you ever heard of this? I'm pretty sure there was no battery and no pump, at least from the way he explained how it was different. He has been running NOS for years so im pretty sure he knows his shit. raxen
Sounds like a dry system with some form of mechanical actuator. I have used several kits from NX Express, NOS, Top Gun, and Cold Fusion; I have never really heard of this pressure injection system associated with a gravity feed system because the only force exerted on the fluid is very small from gravitational forces. It takes some form of pumping system to create the pressure needed to matain a proper mixture at the nozzle. Send me a link or something to read up on this pressure injection system. I have heard of using water injection on many nitrous and turbo charged applications. A typical industry standard for a nitrous system is to use a fuel pump designed to operate between 4.5 and 7 psi with a flow rate of 0.1 gallons per horsepower at 6 psi
