reggiexp Posted July 5 Report Share Posted July 5 Hi, i can't find anything about it i got it like 2 years ago and remember seeing a video about it that it works but marks were off But can't find the video anymore or post... Its a jfg racing aluminium timing plate from aliexpress its also on amazon and ebay. So i remembered marks are off so i bolded my oem on top and placed marks where the bold should be, so comes out that 0 degree is 1 on the jfg plate but then i noticed from 0 to 5 there 5 lines... Not 4. So at the 5 mark its 6 the others are fine. But yeah so 1 degree is 0 so i put timing on 3. (4th line from 0) that should be 3 4 or 2degree it runs but yeah im very confused. Every line is 1mm that sums up but am confused what actually 0 is and if there is a way to mesure timing like its a basic universal plate if i look at others. Im from France so only option they havr is pro design 200€ not up there yet to spend that on a timing plate... Any one els used aliexpress ebay jfg racing timing plate? Can confirm me what what timing degree is so i don't fuk up my engine. Jereme6655 Posted July 6 Report Share Posted July 6 Being that parts are hard to find in France (from what you’re saying) I’m sure shipping would be insane to purchase something from one of the site sponsors and ship it to France…. however (some don’t like/trust this option) but you could always run a +4 degree timing key. I’m sure shipping that would be fairly cheap. Many don’t trust it because they worry an offset key is weaker…..but in all reality, the key shouldn’t be taking any load….it should only be aligning while the taper of the crank is doing all the load holding. After some measuring and comparing to the oem plate, i figured out +4 on the jfg aliexpress plate. And put it on the right spot. Works great. Haven't ran it much. Rans very good doh you feel its more responsive. It toke me like a hour or so marking ever spot, comparing, aligning, to make sure im at 0 and then count 4 lines.
