The only thing maybe that the chain will be extremely tight if you use the stock length. If you have the torque to pull the gear it works great. broke I just installed the 17 also ... it went on fine...However YES the stock chain was way too tight to ride...We tired to add a link to it but then it was too much...It would not get within range....What size/type of chain do you use with the 17?
