Hi guys:

It wasn't necessary for him to feed the croc while holding his kid.

However, I don't know of anyone who is more qualified to say if his kid was in danger than Steve himself. Is there anyone else with as much experience? Why aren't they commonly known by the general population as "the croc hunter" like Steve is? Where is their television series? Who is going to serve as a "more expert" witness against him? Jeff Corwin?

Keep in the mind "common sense" seems to have been largely bread-out of American society a generation or two ago. If the lady from McDonald's can sue for hot coffee you're going to have to prove risk (and their are no damages). Simply saying the kid was a few feet from crocodile food won't work anymore. That would be "common sense" which our judges and courts no longer have.

One thing for sure. He just got a lot of free worldwide advertising for his unique lifestyle turned career. Something tells me it isn't over yet.

Regards,

Bill

I under stand that he is probably the most qualified person, but the fact is it was flat out dangerous anything could have happend the crock could have lunged at him and while trying to get clear he slips and flalls then what? Also it says that the baby in only a month old to me it doesnt even look like he is holding it correctly.

evil having your 2 year old on you shee is a little differnt IMO than holding a 1 month old baby around a 14ft or bigger crock. I thinking more along the lines if he had to move really fast or something and he dropped the baby, slipped and fell or something like that not the fact that he is by the crock.

very true, i use this example being im big on the helmet issue and when i do this were not wearing a helmet, but to me its ok, i see no harm in it but i know the potential danger is there. i know my kid and banshee as he knows his and crocks and to hear that a police investigation is going to happen and being who he is might kill him and this will get blown way out of proportion. and that sucks. if nothing happened to the baby then i dont see why the fuss over it, it would be a different story if the kid got munched. i just hate it when things get all blown out like this will. thats all :)

You're damn right. I hate to say it, but it's his kid. If something happens, that's more dumbasses that won't be in the world. If he's good enough to stay alive and protect his child... circle of life baby. All these laws to protect ourselves and shit. Don't get me started. If people want not wear helmets and seatbelts then so be it. They can die and we loose one more dumbass. I'll wear mine no matter what the law is...

AAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... why'd you have to bring this up. It just pisses me off people find anything to whine about.

I totally agree fixit. I'm tired of higher authorities protecting us from ourselves. Laws should be made to protect people from others, not from themselves.

If someone doesnt want to wear their seatbelt or helmet fine, its their own risk. If someone wants to do drugs in the privacy of their own home.....its their own life. I can see laws being made to protect that druggies child from them....but laws are just getting way out of hand.

In Pennsylvania here, Ed Rendell initiated a law that all drivers MUST wear seatbelts, and can be pulled over for just that. Before it was if you got pulled over for something else....they could write you a fine for not wearing a seatbelt.

And then he goes and revokes the law that you have to wear a helmet to ride a motorcycle......he's just all over the board....nothing makes sense.

i know a guy who was playing with his 2 month old baby, he was tossing the baby in the air about 2 feet and then catching him. Unfortunately he was at a movie theatre when he was doing it and some goody two shoes bitch who was walking past (probably on her way to see titanic or some shit) called the police and told them a man was abusing his child.

the cops showed up and took him back to the station to explain himself on tape.

for the next 4 months he had to recieve a fortnightly visit from a child services representative to check up on the babys living conditions.

This is similar to the crocodile thing in that a loving father was doing something which was in his opinion, perfectly safe and somebody else who may have been lesser capable than he didnt like it.

she said he could have dropped the baby, because she felt that if she were doing the same she may have dropped the baby.

i would not hold my baby over a croc but if he feels it is safe then it is his choice.

i saw the video it kinda looked like he was taunting the crock with the kid at one point and i notice it was in his "show"...he said he was intorducing the kid to the crock cause the kid needed to learn about them......to me thats the most fucking moronic thing ive ever heard......a month old kid knows one thing, wheres moms titties....he did it as a stunt to get publicity.he has his little girl swim with pythons too, im going to get my kid to do 90 footers on his CR cause i want to see him do it, if he breaks his neck or back or gets killed i can always have another kid im sure since he's young he wont realize the danger, ill just tell him its safe afterall im his parent and he takes what i say as gospel..... if that girl ever saw that python throttle a 180 pound man im sure shed look twice at dad when he tells her to swim with it.....i used to put my kids on my quad and putt them around too, never thought to introduce them to a crock though......
