axle Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I'm Thinking of getting rid of my toomey t5's and getting some cpi in frames has anyone here made the same switch and if so would you do it again. I just recently changed cylinders to fmf monoblock power valve cylinders and it feels like the pipes maybe holding i back on the big end. Quote
00BANSHEE Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I switched from the Trinity inframes which are similiar to the T5s to the CPI inframes and it really brought my Cheetah cylinders to life. Quote
yamaha350 Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 i made the switch last summer and never thought about going back. toomeys suck compared to the cpi's. i would definetly do it again. Quote
axle Posted January 2, 2004 Author Report Posted January 2, 2004 did the cpi pipes help more on the top end or overall? Quote
00BANSHEE Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I feel like they have helped out from bottom to top. I ride alot of the time on dirt trails and this thing has tons of low end torque. I think with the T-Rex cylinders you are running now you will love the CPI pipes. Quote
bignasty1 Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 i have a set of rocket inframe drag pipes for sale they are alot like cpi's power wise they just have a lil better bottom end and feel like they rev out just a tad more on top. i can let them go for 325. i had cpi's at one time but i like these better.
