Adding Boost Ports To Banshee Intake Track

I have a 370LR motor that MP Racing built 2 years ago with a play port job, it time for a fresh bore so I asked about making more power across the whole band while its apart anyway (I want to keep all the bottom I can) They told me they can add two new boost ports that feed directly into the transfers. This is how the new cr250 is. This is supposed to let you keep throttle response and your bottom end so it sounds like the best of both worlds, step up to a race port but keep or potentialy increase my bottom as well. It sounds very cool. Any thoughts would be aprciated

They are going to increase exhaust port width and height also. What they are claiming is that adding the transfer boost ports will keep the powerband smooth and keep bottom power. I should have mentioned I ride mostly woods/ motorcross.

Dragg-on But arn't the tranfer ports on a banshee alittle small ? Intake sure there big But the bottle neck is in the tranfer ports On the stock design. But don't quote me I am still trying to learn this twin stuff.

I'm quoting you on this. You are right. The transfers and be helped by boost port leading into the transfer track. PassionRE can hook you up on the boost ports. I've seen some pics of his work. It's exactly what you are looking for !!

I would post PassionRE's but only with his permission. Builders have to keep some of there stuff to themselves or be selective. If he doesn't respond, I assume he doesn't want them posted. After seeing them, I wouldn't either. I use Andy at grand river racing, but I have to tell you, I haven't seen jims bikes run, but as he says.... " He tends to think outside the box" ...

Bri98:

One little warning... Dave Moore is NO LONGER at the # listed on their site. He left MP Racing (even though its his name) Steve is now running the show and he is a liar. Dave has since gone back to his old location and is trying to sever ties from Steve. My suggestion is to directly contact Dave... If you call MP, steve will just lie and tell you "he is busy" or He isnt here right now". Steve is not telling anyone that he is no longer there since he is trying to take future business from Dave. Steve is NOT an engine builder nor does he have anyone on premises to do the work (competant that is)

If you would like Daves personal cell phone # you can contact me. I would recommend against dealing w/ Steve unless you prefer to get jerked around.

Read up on Planet sand about the triple Exhaust port job which cost nearly 500 dollars at most places, its over rated...a few people say 2-3 hp gains on the dyno for the same bike diff porting..read it up. just something to think about..i dont know if its true or not.
