mrmatt
Sometimes I feel like I'm all thumbs when trying to connect the trottle cable back onto the slide. I have trouble keeping the spring compressed and out of the way. But, I found a way to do this and avoid the frustration. Before attempting to put it back together I compress the spring and put a couple of tie-wraps around it to keep it compressed. Then I put the compressed spring over the cable and hook the cable end into the slide. Then I install the keeper and cut the tie-wraps and its done. locogato11283
i always use a pair of needle nose pliers. just put them on the cable and puch it all the way to the carb top. i always use a pair without any cutters on them, wouldnt wanna cut the cable. mcaf29
That just made rejetting the needle so much easier!!! It has always been a tie between the chain adjust and the carb spring for the "Holy stupid F'n engineer award".
Guest evildead
I do the same thing, except i use twist ties instead of zip ties, easier to take off and put on.
