Amstaff Posted December 31, 2003 Report Share Posted December 31, 2003 how often should you change you wheel bearing axel bearings and a arm bushings and so forth?is there a average of how long they last i ride trails and strip mines there was alot of mud this yr so i dono if that comes into play or not? Move the f.wheels back/forth, A-arms in/out, and so on, if there is noticeable freeplay, replace them. I use the needle bearings in my A-arms and like them better than the bushings. BenBB Posted December 31, 2003 Report Share Posted December 31, 2003 In 3 years I've only replaced my rear axle bearings once. I repacked the fronts about a year ago and just keep the a-arm bushings greased (like after every weekend that I ride I wash then grease it). If you're in alot of mud I would check the rear bearings like spoin39 said, and if/when you have to replace them put a grease zerk on the carrier, and remove the inner bearing seals so grease will get to them.
