08blackshee
Hey guys just wondering if anyone can give me tips on tuning I just finished my build stock engine, stock carbs vforce 4s, t5 pipes, and k&n no airbox 300 main jets 26.5 pilots I’m at sea level elevation. It seems to run at low idle until I rev it up a bit then it runs perfect and stays at a higher idle but when it’s in that low idle it bogs until it finally gets itself up to a higher idle? If anyone can help that would be great. Also is there a bottom out for the kickstarter I have a billet black one on the right now and it’s hitting my foot peg and destroying the kickstart just wondering if anyone knows a way around that thanks. pk31337
If you don't have any porting done 300 is probably too large. Try going down a size or so and see if it gets more crisp. South Texas banshee has 2 great videos on adjusting your idle. One using a tool that makes life easy.. as far as your kick start lever hitting your peg. Just take the screw holding it all the way out. Pull out the kick start lever. Re adjust the position. And shouldn't be hitting your peg. 08blackshee
Thank you for the reply ! As far as the kickstart it has a slot in the shaft for that lock screw to sit in so not sure ho I would move it out ? And I had it with a 280 main and it didn’t make much of a difference it just takes awhile to load at idle it’s super weird once it starts idling higher it runs great
375hp banshees
Define higher idle I was at 340 stock port with pipes & pod filters @ sealevel so... Does kicker need to move away from motor or clocked, it will clock some, the splines are fine & will still be lined up with slot. Dont clock it so much, it rubs on clutch housing, when up tho.
