streetshee
no this is a long known and debated problem,to put it short, what ive found is working on mine(cos was also sticking) is a couple of hose clamps on each end of the choke tube(between carbs) seems to work with me.cheak if the tube is porus too,and i also put silicon grease inside the little rubber cap on the choke knob.maybe also keeps out moisture? so far no more probs....... good luck,if it cures yours i will be a very happy man! i patented the idea!
