Meat
Thanks for the replies, alot of good info posted. I dont think the chriopractor would help, when I think chriopractor, I think "misalignment" or "pinched disc or nerve", I dont think they can help guys with arthritis. I should start taking better care of myself, exercise more.
sandbuzzard
Hey Meat, My back has never been injured. But i have always had lower back pains. I get two knots on both sides of my spin. My last Doc. said that 90% of all lower back pain is due to the muscles in the back of your legs being tight, making your back work overtime. He said that a 10min stretch of the legs every morning would take care of alot of the pain. Worth a shot.... Its been working for me too JKJK... evil
i heard the same thing sandbuzzard did, infact at work they implimented a streaching program and made it manditory. it helped in alot less back injuries, worth a shot. to this day i can predict when its going to rain by the pain in my hip and left arm. my hip gets it everytime it rains but the arm and wrist has some wicked arthritus that gets bad to the point i cant hold anything. plus the knees are bad too. i dont take anything for it i just adjust to the pain and somedays have a crip walk. by mid day im normal again, it just goes away. all the trips to the doc and constantly hearing you put to much abuse on your body has now cought up to me. but it seems if i have any pain it goes away when i get on the quad just never stop riding
boonman
Stretching and working out is vital. I have seperated and/or dislocated my left shoulder over 15 times. It is shot. I can't waterski or wakeboard or knee board anymore, because the rope will rip my arm out if I am not fully concentrating on holding it in. No fun anymore. I have been stretching it, and working things for it, and it has helped tremendously. Human anatomy is a very funny thing... Knowing the correct things to do, may help alleviate some of the troubles...
tats4life
Sorry guys let me rephrase what I said, I don't go to the chiropractor to get adjusted I go to get physical therapy on my left shoulder. I'm trying to avoid the $75,000 surgery to replace my rotater cup. My health insurance will only cover 2/3's of it. My chiropractor's office is in the same office complex as my job is so he fix's the paperwork so my I don't have to pay out of pocket. Another problem for lower back pain is your arches are not properly supported.
