JPL3
Hey there! I love this forum! I’ve learned a Lotta really good stuff. I have a bad air leak leak tested it and it wouldn’t hold pressure at all. I found air coming out of this hole Next to a bolt on the block right below the coolhead intake where hose is connected. How should I proceed with fixing the issue? I tried to post a pic, but it says file is too large. Thanks!! 2001 Yamaha Banshee FMF exhaust, Trinity 2-1 intake, coolhead, force reeds

JPL3
You can see the little hole next to the bolt. That’s where air is pouring outSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Metal_man_Rob
I don't see a hole and it's really hard to be sure about the orientation of the picture. It looks like the head is off and this is a shot of the two cylinder nuts closest to the reed cages and coolant hose that attaches to the head. Nothing in this photo should have a hole in it.It looks like there are spots of weld and a bead of weld on it. Am I seeing that right? Mark where the hole is and take a photo showing more of the motor. Maybe place your fingertip where the hole is. JPL3
Yeah man it’s hard to see in that pic. Here’s a better shot. You described where it’s at perfectly thoughSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dano3
Almost looks like the reed cage bolts were too long and they hit the cylinder. Has a similar mark on the other cylinder too. Post a more clear picture.

dano3
I meant post a more clear picture of the actual spot where it is leaking. take one from above showing both inside cylinder base studs with the leaking spot.
