Is it best to use a dremal tool for this mod? Also I need to get a flywheel puller. Does the shee take a special one or can I pick one up at an auto parts store? One other question I am at about 150psi compression at sea level running 93 octane, can I advance 2-4 degrees and still use 93. Thanks guys for any answers to my questions.

P.S. any drawbacks to doing this mod?

You might be able to get a flywheel puller at your local yamaha dealer although mine didn't have one. I had to order mine, just look on ebay. You do need a special puller, one that threads into the flywheel.

Most of your local Motorcycle/atv shops should have the puller (since it is univeral) for about $10.

As stated, a Dremel Tool works best and takes about 30 mins to grind down. I marked every thing I planned to grind out with a black sharpie pen before I started.
