Hockey390
Just wanting to know if reed spacers are worth it.. I dont have any engine work done on my quad if that makes a difference. Just modified airbox, fatties, and a K&N.. If they do make a difference, what is a good price for a new set? (25?)

Meat
search for it Oooo thats never a good reply. Reed spacers will increase the crankcase volume. Increased crankcase volume will cause a "mellower" powerband hit. Do you want a mellower powerband ? I wouldnt say you lose any HP, it just smooths out the powerband hit. Some guys use the spacers when they're running aftermarket carbs, on some aftmkt carbs the float bowl on the one carb will not clear the little clutch arm that sits under the carb, the reed spacers move the carbs back, clearing the clutch arm. The real question is....... is "mellower" a real word ??
boonman
The real question is....... is "mellower" a real word ?? I am not sure.
Hockey390
All i want to know is if it will add power. If it just changes the power so it hits slower (mellower) then i say no, but if it make it hit HARDER, or stay longer...Thats what im looking for. So i wouldnt want them? Proquad101
I think you will get better bottom end responce and power. They are a cheap mod that is easy to install. Check NOSSMACHINE.com for some reed spacers and other cool things.
Scott M
I'll put it simply: Reed Spacers are JUNK, even if you have larger carb's get the offset boots from UMI to raise the carbs w/o spacers.
evil
yeah man spacers suck, me and scott did a shitload of testing on them a long time ago and they just suck, suck i say, you dont want them. later

Toomey Banshee
I had them, took them off, rode and put em back on. I can honestly say it did hit harder without them. Not a huge hit but a somewhat noticable difference. I have kept them off, same with my boost bottle. I didnt notice ANY difference with or without the bottle and opted to take it off because it kept working its way out of the boots for the intake and I was concerened the motor would some some sand/dirt.
