tlh96 Posted January 8, 2023 Report Share Posted January 8, 2023 I was told that if I sand the scratches out of my plastics working my way up to the finest paper I can then go over them with a heat gun until they are as smooth as possible then coat them with a good car wax they will look brand new. I don't have the money for $1000 OEM plastics and I think the rounded corners on most aftermarket plastics are uglier than the scratches. I didn't think about trying a spot under the plastics. hoppedupandcutdown Posted January 9, 2023 Report Share Posted January 9, 2023 Keep in mind with every step in grit, you have to remove ALL the scratches left by the previous grit.
