Best Oil?

Recommended Posts

I use tractor trans fluid. Costs about $8 for 2 gallons. If it can push a combine and other tractors around fields for 12 hours a day and weeks on end, then the banshee is no problem. I find the trans shifts more solid and I find neautral easier. I get it at Farm and Fleet.

I use 80wt gear oil, maxima or spectro, what ever you use, make sure it is formulated for a WET CLUTCH!

how do you know if its formulated for a wet clutch? does it say on the bottle?

is trans fluid formulated for a wet clutch? Holyman says that using tractor trans fluid, the trans shifts more solid and I find neautral easier (I want that!!!)

the owers manual dosn't say to use trans fluid, it this a good idea?

The trans fluid I use is for Automatic transmissions and clutch type {posi} transaxles and power out drives. I'm an Amsoil dealer and I still have no plans to use Amsoil in the trans. The oil I have says it's also formulated to handle some water contamination. I figure that would be great if I go river running or the waterpump O ring goes bad. I'm gonna stick with what I'm using. It's cheap, works great AND it's cheap AND it works great. 4 GREAT reasons to use it. :)
