Noah
I got a 2001 for 421 banshee with a 4ml hot cams crank. I’ve just finished rebuilding new top in new crank and pistons everything checked out to me in the transmission. But now my dilemma The bike will not let me shift under power and sometimes I can get it to shift if I hit it just right but 90% of the time will not shift i’ve been told shift forks can be a main problem but when I open the motor up everything seem to be fine with the shift drum and shift fork and the gears so I’m trying to figure out what I’m missing thank you all for your help. locogato11283
You're making just enough power now that it's going to be difficult to shift it. What clutch springs are in it? Does it have a lockup? If the answers are OEM and no, these things will help improve the shifting. https://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/atv/yamaha/banshee/ez-shift-spring.html?filter=47 https://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/atv/yamaha/banshee/shift-bearing-detent-kit.html?filter=47 https://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/atv/yamaha/banshee/shift-shaft.html?filter=
Noah
It has Chariot basket. With stock drum and pressure plate with stiffer springs and a mod quad lock up. And it’s not that it’s hard to shift. It’s that it will not shift under hard power ban.

It's never going to shift under a load with the stiff springs and lockup. You don't really need the stiff springs with the lockup. Put some OEM springs in it and see if that helps the issue.
