I am building a 421 Cub motor with Shearer pipes 18CC dome cool heads, drag ported, Vforce reeds. I ride around 4500 ft. What is the best race gas to run in it? sycoticbanshee00 Posted December 10, 2022 Report Share Posted December 10, 2022 I have a 421 cub with a similar setup, high compression, +7 on the plate. I run VP110 which is 107 motor octane with no issues, Sunoco standard 110 is 106 motor octane which will work as well. VP C12 is 108 motor octane and Sunoco supreme 110 is a true 112 motor octane. Any of those will work just fine. If you run an oxygenated fuel then you might need to jet fatter on the main, but that’s about it. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
