blk02banshee Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 check your choke tube, between the carbs. Quote
SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted December 27, 2003 Author Report Posted December 27, 2003 the choke tube is that like the fuel line? What should i look for blockage? Quote
00BANSHEE Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 The choke tube is a black rubber hose that goes between the two carbs and connects them together so when you pull the choke out on the left carb it will also activate the choke on the right hand carb. I don't run stock carbs anymore or I would show you a pic. Quote
lincster Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Choke tube..... hope you didn't lose it when you took it apart. Quote
SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted December 28, 2003 Author Report Posted December 28, 2003 i did that and it didnt help at all. anything else i can check or do? Quote
bansheelover Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 an air leak may be the source or the wild idling spray some carb cleaner around the intake boots to see if there is a leak hope this helps Matt Quote
bigboybanshee Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 You sure you stuck the choke tube over the right holes? I've stuck it in the wrong place in a moment of stupidity...That sounds like that is EXACTLY the problem, it happened to me almost the exact same way...it would start up and the right side didn't wanna fire without coaxing and when it did, I let off the gas it died, gave it a little gas and the damn thing's RPM's skyrocketed...It took me almost a week to figure it out, I almost tore the whole damn thing apart again!! SiCkBaNsHeE_990 Posted December 30, 2003 Author Report Posted December 30, 2003 im out of ideas that still didnt do anything and its still the same thing. in order to get the right side piston to fire i have to turn the air screw in all the way and it starts to fire but that cant be right. and it still wont kick start.
