well let me start by saying it has not be cranked in about 2 months. i went to crank it and it would not do anything so i had it pulled to get it to run and when it fired up it revved real high and i think only one side was doing anything at first then the other side finally come in---like a say it revs real high without touching the throttle then it will dye down and it will not idle with the choke on or off. any help would really be appreciated.thanks alot in advance

sounds like you got an air leak check your plugs and put new ones in make sure they are snug but dont over tighten them then check and make sure your carb boots dont have any tears in them and make sure your carbs are in all the way and calmped down then check your carb tops make sure they are on. and if you left the gas on then you should take the carbs off and clean the jets out so they arent clogged with old oil. put fresh gas in her and see if what i told ya helps. if any ones got anything i missed ad to it please.

I wouldn't jump right to an air leak. Being that the bike sat for awhile, I am thinking that the carbs are gummed up. Hapens more frequently than anything., And having a partially clogged jet would do just that. And being that he says the choke doesn't drown it out, I am betting the choke circuit is plugged up as well. (being that he said he couldn't get it to fire up at all without pulling it.) This would also point towards a clogged pilot jet. I would pull the carbs, and give them a thorough cleaning. Should be all it needs. You could give her a leakdown, just to be sure. As it could be a combination of things as well. I wouldn't rule out the air leak.

When you unplugged the TORS did you also unplug the brain box next to the coil under the tank? This has to be done. If you have fuel, spark, compression, and the proper timing, it has to fire. What is the compression of this motor? Something is not right. Are you absolutely positive you have everything together correctly?
