Muyguapo
The threads on my carbs are wore down so bad, where the slide cap screws on, that I can't tighten them anymore. Any ideas other then new carbs, since I'm supposed to go riding in a couple days. I looked on amazon and they have a full set of carbs for around $80, but I'm not sure I want to even bother with those. Thanks
machinegunbanshee
Maybe try some plumbers tape and a good, tight cross-thread.
diebog
Order a heliocoil kit. Real easy to use just take your time. Them threads will be steel and last much much longer. For a fast fix get some fine copper wire and stick it down I’m the hole and thread screw in. Edited August 1, 2022 by diebog

To pull the slides out…..
specialblend07
Just drill them out and rethread them. Simple. Or JB weld them on
Muyguapo
Appreciate replies. Tried the plumbers tape, but it didnt seem to be tight enough. So I put an ad on craigslist and just bought a used one.
