PlaynSand Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Sezer, I have never rode Toomeys , just have had a few others . I have LRD's on my new banshee and love them but I do not know how they compare to Toomey's . Here is a link to a dyno test I found with a mild ported 350 with +4 timing courtesy of "gpracerx" http://www.planetsand.com/memberphotos/234...%20shootout.JPG Maybe this will give you some idea . But I am sure others will chime in and give us some more info Quote
sheescreams Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I have T5s on my bike and i like them alot there really quick and make a big diff in the drags Quote
Twins in 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 T5's are those the soup cans with the high DB rating? Quote
spoin39 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Yeah, they have a small silencer but sound great! I have rode both and really can't tell you wich is better. If you get the LRD don't get the adjustable kind. I had them on a 250R and they leaked like a 2 dollar whore! Quote
PlaynSand Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Yes don't get the adjustable pipes unless you really like silicone on your pipes. The non adjustable are way better. The silencers are oval like FMF,s . They are not as loud as Toomeys but have a good sound, they have turn downs so they don't slime up your grab bar. Their silencer bodys come standard in black with chrome ends and spouts ,but you can special order them in any color ,if you want to wait . I ordered mine red to match my frame and they didn't charge any extra for it. I do love they way Toomeys sound . And I see a lot of them so they must be a great pipe. I say run the pipes you like! Not what everybody tells you to. Quote
