q8bizkit78 Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 whats the jetting size that i should use if im useing a stock carb ported engine bored .80 plus a 4mm strocker Quote
Aussie Quad Racer Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 that is something that you will have to work through, what i do suggest is throw those stock carbs away and get some larger ones. With a stroked, bored and ported engine your holding back alot of potential. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Need a lot more info then that...What are all your mods?? Air box setup?? elevation?? Temperature outside?? Quote
q8bizkit78 Posted December 23, 2003 Author Report Posted December 23, 2003 my mods are (DMC pipe for fun) ported wisco pistons .80 head 20cc domes 4mm strocker v-force reed 2 external air filters (i have a set of 35mm carbs should i use them but the thing is that they dont performe will on wheelies dyna sf i would love to stick to my stock carbs for fun but i just changed my top end cuz the pistons has jamed to lean i was running 350 mains i have a set of 390 400 410 main should i use them or is it gona be to rich Quote
Banchetta Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Throw the 400's in and go from there. Better to start rich and work down....run it wot in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, pull the clutch in, shut it down, pull the plugs...black is rich, brown is perfect, tan or white is lean... 20cc domes.......what are you running for compression??? what octane fuel?? what did the pistons look like?? were they melted toward the exhaust or holes in the top, center of the pistons?? H300F Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 mine was running 360s. i would say anywhere from 340 to 370. Quote
