sandbanshee1818
I love jumping and around 60 feet I bottom out and bend/break things on my shee. What will works shocks do for me? Any other alternatives? Thanks for your thoughts!
erbilabuc
works are the cheapest aftermarket shock you are going to find. they will help you a lot, well at least mine did but i dont think I jumped the distance you did. SCOTT PRESSLEY
Works are as far as after market shocks go pretty cheap in price compared to others. You just want to get some for your weight. When I bought mine I got them for the weight I am suited up ready to race. But if you come across a deal you can have them revalved.I ran dual rated works with rizzes last year they done fine, but will up grade to something else this coming year. They handled 60ft doubles,80ft tables. You can bottom most shocks if not set up properly for your weight and riding conditions. The works are better than stock. But when your jumping just before you land hit the throttle so you will pull out of the landing and you shee wont have to take full impact of the landing.Kind of like landing flat and solid compared to landing and glancing the ground it will keep your momentim moving forward and not slow you down.Sorry for the book Scott
frocashmoney24
how much would it cost to get a pair of works shocks revalved for your weight, and what kinda of people do it?
SCOTT PRESSLEY
The only one I have price sheet on is Legacy ATV. REVALVE 50to140 depending on what you want. You can call them at 336-869-4900 or email at legacyatv@cs.com also web site My Webpage. But you could do a search on here and someone will know of others who do this. Banchetta
Works are cheap because most people buy non-adjustable shocks....Get adjustable front shocks and they cost just as much as any other company....I have works and love them, my friend has Elkas and they work just as well....I haven't felt any difference between the 2.... spoin39
TCS (total control suspension) did the setup and valving on mine and they did a great job! I highly recomend them! They took the time to listen to me about how I ride, my weight, and what kind of air I get at the local moto tracks. Best $$ I spent on my shee! UpEnSmk420
Im in the same boat. I need some better suspension. Im still riding stock. I don't really want wider a-arms cause I ride a lot of trails, and not to mention shee wont fit in the back of my 4 foot bed if I get wider arms cause of the wheel wells. Any ways I want some new shocks (front and rear) and Im not to sure if I want to spend the extra money on adjustables. Is it really worth it? Any input would be great. Any input would be great. in my opinion the adjustables are worth it, its nice being able to set your rebound so you dont chatter over rough stuff, alot of guys swear by them, but those guys arnt trying to do 70mph for more than a few seconds........bottoming is fine you should on the roughest part of the track, if it didnt it would ride like utter shit.......works are known for underspringing there shock tell them bastards you weigh 350 pounds and race mx, maybe they will get the gage right........ Banchetta
Adjustability is always worth it, but are you going to use it???? Most people don't even dial in the stock suspension, so if you don't use it, why pay for it??
