gottabgreennnasty
If you are thinking about purchasing the wider pegs from pro design or even another just hold your horses. I have purchased another set of pegs off ebay for $20 bucks and had them welded to my existing pegs and powder coated and it was all for less than $80 bucks. They need to be welded to the back side of your existing pegs. If you mount them in the front it makes the shift lever to close when riding with boots. So enjoy this tip and use the money for a road trip or something.
erbilabuc
did you have to cut the levers at all?
Yamahammer
no That is why you weld them on the back not the front evil has pics i will see if he can post some.. i think they got lost on the old forum
Tim C
I put Raptor pegs on my Banshee which are back about 2 inches (and wider then Banshee pegs) and then hacked up the banshee pegs and welded them to the back side of the Raptor pegs. They are nice and wide now - but I also had to shorten the shifter the break lever. They never cost me anything because I got the Raptor peg from a friend who put pro-peg nurfbars on his bike. Yamahammer
hey tim where the raptor pegs a direct bolt on i am lookin into the blaster peg i need mine moved back and down for the way i ride. But you have to make a spacer on the blaster pegs on the one side is it the same on the raptor ones.. Thanks
evil
yammahammer, if they do you want to sell me your old pegs ??
Tim C
Yamahammer Yes the raptor peg fit right on - I think I might have reamed the holes a bit but the bolt spacing is the same. They are also wider then the Blaster pegs and have the same profile as the banshee pegs. The spacer came with my nurfs and went on the outside of the stock pegs but now i think its behind the pegs but I forget - its been 2 years since I put them on and I'm at work now or else I'd check. All you would need is a short piece of small pipe and a longer bolt.
evil
here you go banshee foot peg modifiers ! words of advice, dont just hack an extra set off and weld it on, it looks like shit, do it clean and put some effort into it and it will look badass, when i finish my second set ill post a pic of them. there stockers but i did them up in a total different way, there gonna be sweet. SWRToad
I agree with you guys on this. Wider pegs, will make you a better rider, plain and simple. I purchased a set of Roll Designs with the kick-ups and can honestly say that it was worth every penny. Here is another way that this can be done. I thought that these turned out sweet as well. No welding. This picture was from someone here at this site long ago?. Just another awesome idea for anyone that dont want to drop the bucks. BansheeBrian
I did the same peg mod and just bolted them together without welding. Impressed alot of riders with that one! Keep in mind if you feel rich read over Meat's product preview on the pro-design pegs.
erbilabuc
so BansheeBrian, you think that bolting it on is strong enough for typical banshee abuse? I thought about welding but bolting is easier and cheaper in my case.
