promod80
i took my banshee out a lil bit ago and man.....it ran like crap! It had no power at all.....i checked the compression and it was at 95psi and the other was at 115psi. What does this mean....one side was smokin and the other was not. Also. those little screws on the back of the carbs....what should they be set at? thanks for any help
2004LEBanshee
From what I've read, never had this problem yet. I would thing that you need to rebuild your engine. I heard that a difference of 10 ment that it was time for a rebuild. I am sure someone else with experiance can better answer your question. When was the last time it was rebuilt? promod80
i am not sure...i just bought it a month or so ago.....it is a 2002. That is why i didn't think it really needed a rebuild but hell i don't know

promod80
alright.....thanks for the input guys. I'll have to take it apart and get that done as soon as possible. I was expecting it to run like a bat outa hell but i new something was wrong when my buddy beat my ass on his Raptor!
Banchetta
No doubt you need a rebuild. You also might want to find out what caused this...Are you still running the stock air filter and filter flange?? That would be the first problem. Get a K&N w/ flange for $90..Money well spent.. You might be able to clean it up w/ just .010 over..check w/ who your boring the cylinders w/...You won't notice any power gain w/ the boring, but will notice more power w/ the rebuild and higher compression... promod80
yea i still have the stock filter and flange.....why would that cause the engine to f**k up?? thanks
Banchetta
yea i still have the stock filter and flange.....why would that cause the engine to f**k up?? thanks The flange that holds the filter has a foam seal on the front where it mounts to the air box...sand will get by this and you'll notice your carbs will have sand in them. This sand will cause scratching and wear in the cylinders at a much faster rate...I've got almost 4 years now on my pistons and rings and only have a 3 psi lost on both cylinders.....A clean intake is crutial... thats why most shee owners will suggest the K&N w/ flange for the first mod..
