turbowrenchhead
I've had to clean mine a few times now when the bike sits. Is there anything available that resists rusting?
caleb90
crank it over a few times to coat the basket with oil when sitting
Keno
Didn't know this was a problem. The transmission oil should leave enough coating on the plates that they do not rust. Do you by chance have coolant leaking into your oil? Is it milky? Aside from a coolant leak, consider changing oils and see if the rust problem goes away. turbowrenchhead
No coolant leaks. The machine has sat for a year without starting.
SKEETER
Kick it over slow with clutch pulled in, and without, few times every 3 months. The effort involved changing plates is far more than time required to do this.
kawa110
I keep the clutch lever pulled in for long storage to keep the clutch pack from sticking, I may be wearing out the springs but I feel that it keeps the springs from “squeezing” out the oil. turbowrenchhead
Pulling the clutch lever is a good idea
375hp banshees
Still only oils 1/2 tho
turbowrenchhead
Unless you crank it over on occasion. Better then sitting with the clutch engaged
