banshee tuner Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I have heard you can wipe them down with alcohol and get the oil from your skin off them but i don't beleive that one. The only way i know for sure is to jet really rich and not get the hole power gain of the pipe. That comes straight from the toomey website. Quote
BansheeBrian Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Bluing is from being lean on your jetting. Things are getting a little too hot in your engine and the exhaust gas is causing the blue effect. You may need to beef up your mains 1-2. Quote
mercado111 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 You can use some high temp paint inside of your pipes to help prevent bluing. Just spray and let dry, maybe two coats, and your ready. Seen an article in dirt wheels a couple years back on this. I have used it on my shee and have not had any bluing. You can get high temp spray paint at any auto parts store. Quote
