Thanks, after 16 months of testing, tuning and shade tree re-engineering I finally have it to a point where I can put color on it and know it's correct. This is a aggressive dune machine. I ride dirt bikes so always in a turn and high flying would be my style. My family all has R's, my mother in law and wife ride Banshees. When in Rome. For decades I've gone between Banshees and R's either missing suspension/geometry or missing power. Now I'll have my cake and eat it too. Quote
WALZ Posted December 18, 2020 Author Report Posted December 18, 2020 Hindsight the Laeger narrow frame banshee would have been cheaper. I’m darn near triple the original budget. No tricycles, did a Missile kit with one once. I’ve had so many TRX’s, usually built by Arlan. Last one I lost my shorts on was my “resto mod” 88. Stock appearing but modern power and suspension. Solid 70ish hp is nice but 90hp with a Shee is the sweet spot for me. No replacement for displacement. I’ll upload a photo to FB then share the URL here when at computer later. Quote
WALZ Posted December 19, 2020 Author Report Posted December 19, 2020 Last 88 was a 330 (4 mil). 363 was interesting. I had him do the LA sleeve and port the stocker till it finally cracked. Always after the low end power too. I love the PT mids, have em on my wife’s 4 mil stock cyl, very linear and pull from the bottom. They don’t support the higher HP though. Get yourself a serval or super serval and be forever spoiled! TRX would be preferential for dirt but sand begs for a bit more. Quote

Probly 2 months slow build as pieces trickle in from here and there. Got the stem, bars and throttle/carbs together tonight. Most Powder coat delayed till next week now. Always something. Quote
WALZ Posted December 22, 2020 Author Report Posted December 22, 2020 Made a little progress but at a stand still until more powder comes back. 1 Quote
WALZ Posted December 28, 2020 Author Report Posted December 28, 2020 The 250r was fun to look at but didn't have that Banshee excitement. I'm over that. New build coming along slowly as parts arrive: The black chrome looks very different in different lights. The gold dust in the red really sparkles. Maybe see some gold this week, some recoated shocks next week and who the heck knows on the engine. Quote

WALZ Posted February 24, 2021 Author Report Posted February 24, 2021 Getting weird in the garage! hope I can pull the colors together without being to odd: Huge delays in parts and service but that's nothing new. Might be on track again.... Quote
WALZ Posted February 24, 2021 Author Report Posted February 24, 2021 anyone know why the other pictures dissapeared in the original posts? I have been using Facebook URL's from my albums there. Thanks Quote
