dirtbike77 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Share Posted December 14, 2003 just rebuilt an engine on this banshee. the bike ran fine and then shut off.. checked everything and found out that the flywheel key had shed.. so after changing that the bike fired up and ran.. now all of a sudden it wont start by kick starting it sometimes itll fire like its gonna crank b ut it wont? now when i push start it itll backfire but then itll crank/ it misses a little high rpms to? itll run a idle ok but it wont start by kick starting it? check the plugs and they are wet from the fuel. checked for spark.. its not all that strong but it has a spark? the tors is disconnected..um it has t-5 pipes jetted carbs, br8es plugs, ported and polished cylinders.. Sometimes after a new rebuild the rings don't set properly which causes a lack of compression. Put a compression gauge on it and see what it is. bansheewizard Posted December 16, 2003 Report Share Posted December 16, 2003 the same thing happen to me after i got mine rebuilt when i pushed it it backfired and when i got it runnning i have no bottom but the same on top what happen is i ran it to hard and i broke the ring on one of my pistion so it sounds liek you are gonna need a rebuild good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
