rmcollector Posted December 16, 2020 Author Report Posted December 16, 2020 Ran fine and started 1-2 kicks when it came into the state, but after about an hour of on and off of ride time it became fussy and didn't want to idle well and then began popping from the exhaust when trying to kick it over, which led me to believe the jetting is off. Currently has 280 mains. This is my first time pulling the carbs off, cleaned them thoroughly and waiting to put the 27.5 pilots in and going to see if she fires. Quote
375hp banshees Posted December 16, 2020 Report Posted December 16, 2020 Helpfully that'll take care of it, make sure you put the Correct bowl, on the Correct carb. They will fit either one, but won't start/run right if wrong. And as Mentioned, make sure crossover tube is put back onSent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk Quote
kawa110 Posted December 16, 2020 Report Posted December 16, 2020 Ensure reeds aren’t blown, don’t mix up slides either Quote
rmcollector Posted December 16, 2020 Author Report Posted December 16, 2020 Great info to know, appreciate that. Quote
rmcollector Posted December 20, 2020 Author Report Posted December 20, 2020 Got the chance to put the new pilot jets in and put everything back together last night, she fired up second kick and has a perfect idle with those 27.5 pilots! I also moved the needle clip to 4. Not sure what the problem was, maybe dirty carbs...not sure... but she sounds really good now and rips like hell. I really appreciate everyone's help on here! Quote
