2k7cheeta Posted November 24, 2020 Report Share Posted November 24, 2020 What should I look for in my transmission? My bike doesn’t shift how I’d like it to. I just sold a mint banshee that shifted perfect there was a positive click when I put it in gear. My current motor I’m building kind of just gets forced into gear. How do I tell if my shift forks or shift drum is bad? The shift forks glide like butter on the rods. The shift drum bearing was bad would that cause hard shifts? I’m contemplating just replacing the shift drum and forks. It’s a brand new driveline 421 Assassin kit going on brand new cases so I feel like cutting corners now would be dumb but I don’t want to spend a bunch of money I don’t have to either. 2k7cheeta Posted December 2, 2020 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2020 The gear closest to the sprocket isn’t spinning freely so I’m guessing that might have something to do with it. Gonna have to bite the bullet and send this in to get pro modded. I’ve known all along I needed to get a promod but they’re expensive lol.
