Banshee_Dylan
I live in florida have a 2001 banshee, bottom end is stock besides ricks hotshot stator and a dynatec coil. Just installed New top end. I have Vforce 4 Reeds. Tommey T5 pipes, 2 to 1 carb with a 35mm keihin jetted to 195 and 42. I ride in sand and trails. Im running a k&n air filter with a pro flow adapter in the airbox with a lid with air holes I'm having trouble choosing the right jets no matter what I do it won't start unless it has the 195 and 42. I've tried going up thinking it wasn't getting enough gas and down thinking it's not getting enough gas. The only problem with the 195/42 when it actually starts is its running partially on one cylinder the other cuts in and out and when I tried to drive it, it ran crappy with the one cylinder cutting in and out and when I got on it it went in to powered band very gradually not instant and when I slowed down it stalled out. I'm lost and don't know if it's the jets or something else. I've tried doing reaserch with trial and error and have had no luck.
375hp banshees
Trial & error was with oem ignition? What did it do differently leaner & richer? Niche top end? Genuine carb. ?
Banshee_Dylan
@375hp banshees My oem ignition went bad which is why I bought the dynatech. I've always ran my gas 32:1 and had no problems with my blaster. I tried going to a 192 and a 190. And I tried 38, 40, and 45. My idle screw is 2 turns out, I'm not sure if it's a genuine carb all I know is it a keihin 35mm. I did use a niche top end I had good luck with niche top ends in my blaster which is why I bought it. I also noticed that my vforce 4 Reed have slight openings, but it's the same amount on each one and when I looked it up I said that it was normal for the vforce 4 reeds. I was always told that you should see no light from your reeds. Also my carb when it has no air filter on it, shoots gas out the intake side Like a mist a of gas visible to the eye.
