bansheelife
I just bought a 02 banshee. From what I can see it has cool heads, toomey t5, stock carb, k&n filter top of intake box lid removed, there’s a weisco sticker but not sure if there is really weisco pistons. I just rebuilt the carbs rejetted to 300 and 30 (before was 290 and 25) changed all the fluids, new spark plugs. I tried starting it during the day after I put everything back in, but wouldn’t start about 40 kicks. Next morning it’s about 20 degrees colder it starts up but wouldn’t idle only stayed on if I held the throttle. The slides are in the correct way. I synced carb with dimple through the window. Tried messing with idle and air screw but just can’t it to idle. Elevation 30’. Lol anyone around Sacramento to help me out
375hp banshees
Bowls on correct side, choke tube on. screw air screws all the way in & idle it up. How does it run above an idle? Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
bansheelife
Bowls are correct, the day I tried kicking it about 40 times during a day day there was no choke tube (the next morning I put on choke tube and got it to start after about 10-15kicks), air screws I tried 1, 1.5 turns. Will trY screwing all the way in. When I rev it it sounds fine but just won’t idle.
375hp banshees
Makes it richer, idle it up ?Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
375hp banshees
But if the choke tube was off, & that fixed your starting problem , you Probably don't need to Richen it up now Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk

375hp banshees
That's where I would start , and then play with your mixture screw to check your pilot gettingSent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
fixitrod
Make sure your pilot jets didn't get something in them or are loose from taking them apart.
