Exjarhead
Hey guys, I need some help with low end tuning on my shee. Well, I have a stock bore, ken o'Conner trail port, k&n power pods w/covers (airbox delete), boyesen power reeds (stock case), boost bottle, tors eleminator kit, stock carbs, 21 cc Vito's hemi cool head, Vito's red needles on 2nd clip, 310 mains, and 37.5 pilots. I started out rich with 340 mains, and 30 pilots, center clip. Since then I'm dialed in somewhat at 310 mains, 37.5 pilots and 2nd clip. I believe I need to go up to a 40 pilot or bigger since my air screws are about 1 turn out. Right now it's running good, but a little fat. Bottom end is poor until it hits pipe. It does not run hot at all or foul plugs. Plug chops on top end look good. I'm at about 1000ft elevation, temps outside about 75. And help would be great, thanks guys!! SandSlingerOR
I'm no expert but to me your going the wrong way. I can't remember off the top of my head but my dune ported shee with stock carbs is at 27.5 on the piolets at sea level.
Exjarhead
Thanks and I believe you are correct. I also found my intake boots had holes, so that would explain why it wouldnt correct itself. Have it set back up to original of 340 main, 27.5 pilot, vitos red needle on 4th clip. See after some testing

If it’s both then: First thing I would check is see if you really need 110 octane. If you don’t the fuel will not burn right and could cause it. Is it idling/running good without any spots of hesitation? Edited July 10, 2020 by Burt Reynolds
