Jaime
So my banshee has been leaking oil coming out of my vent hose and my compression has gotten weaker as well. Can it also be the radiator?
97Screamer
No, your crank seal is shot. Time for a rebuild.Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
wlkinlivinlegend
What would that mean would I have to rebuild the whole crankshaft or just the seal? Thx for helping. 19 hours ago, 97Screamer said: No, your crank seal is shot. Time for a rebuild. 97Screamer
Just the seal but your whole motor needs to come apart to change it so you'll need to inspect everything and replace as necessary.

How much would that be in total to replace. Thank you.
SKEETER
Call local engine builder. If your doing it yourself, the clymer manual will cost more than the seal.
wlkinlivinlegend
Should I just get a hot rod crank and if I do, do I have to do anything to the engine/carbs/pistons
97Screamer
The seal is about $10. To have someone install it is probably $300-500. You should inspect everything and replace what's necessary. If you have a quality crank in good condition keep it, if not replace it. You can change cranks without needing to change anything else provided you're swapping the same stroke.
