Dmac68
I had that gauge laying around and figured I probably shouldn’t trust it. I will get a better one tomorrow and check again. I did notice the left hand side cylinder looked wet vs. right side being dry when I checking this stuff. What could be causing that? Head gasket leak ? SKEETER
Wet with coolant, or fuel?
Dmac68
I believe it was fuel but not positive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dmac68
Okay I got another compression gauge and it was a huge difference the photos are attached. I also forgot to add I have black fluid coming from the exhaust. Raw fuel/oil I’m guessing ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SKEETER
Your good.
Dmac68
Your good. Compression wise ? I also noticed the spark plugs bad out when riding. The left is worse than the right . Would that be related ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SKEETER
Back out? Sounds like a detonation issue.

alcoholbanshee
Not enough fuel, not high enough octane fuel, too much timing, poor dome design among others...
Dmac68
Not enough fuel, not high enough octane fuel, too much timing, poor dome design among others... Thank you ! It’s a 2 into 1 carb setup and I am just running normal fuel with Klotz . What are your recommendations for this setup fuel mix wise ? alcoholbanshee
I would run at least 93 octane with that compression. Do you know what your timing is. That would be an important number to know

SKEETER
Take your stator cover off. Take pic of timing plate.
ClaudeMachining
A micrometer with extendable measuring probe , find tdc, zero it out, go to bdc, and measure. The cheap compression testers can read false. Buy the best you can afford. Orileys has 1 for 46$ I've tested with same results as a snap on. First pic: MicrometerSecond pic: Electronic Caliper. You need a Caliper, not a micrometer.Envoyé de mon SM-G965W en utilisant Tapatalk
ClaudeMachining
If you want to be sure, do a UCCR test. It's easy, all you need is a syringe of about 50cc. Static compression wont tell everything.Do a squish test too. https://youtu.be/ajCE1HRWaAE Envoyé de mon SM-G965W en utilisant Tapatalk
