BayAreaRider
Hey guys, new here. Been riding ATVs my whole life but not banshees, much love though! I only have one buddy with a quad and it’s a banshee, he claims it’s a Lonestar edition, but I couldn’t find anything about it on the web. It’s got white plastics and a Lonestar decal on either side of the gas tank. It’s a 2001. I’m looking for more info on it if anyone can fill me in here. We raced on pavement and it was pretty close, but it was a very informal race. I thought he would smoke me for sure. I ride a Raptor with big three for reference. I think one of his cylinders is shot since one of his exhausts flows a lot more than the other. Very noticeable. He also sort of neglects maintenance on it and doesn’t know where it came from, just that his dads buddy left it a decade ago and never came back for it. I want to help him rebuild it but not sure what that typically runs price wise for a banshee. It does run strong though, and always fires up on the first few kicks. Also not sure if it’s got a big bore or something from Lonestar.... Edited January 3, 2020 by BayAreaRider

the boris
BTW raptor should smoke stock banshee at all times. Are you familiar with what modes he has on it? Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
BayAreaRider
Well he’s got pipes for sure. I think they say T5 or TR. And at some point they did a custom seat for it. This bike was really loved at one point in its life. Are there any visual clues to tell if there’s internal work done that I might be able to look for? I actually texted him some questions about about his bike and he said, “All you need to know is that it’s the finest piece of equipment in the world.” Guy cracks me up this is why we are friends. He doesn’t know much about it LOL. He just loves to keep ripping.
BayAreaRider
Come to think of it, his A arms are chrome. Maybe they are LS arms. That would explain the stickers.
trickedcarbine
I don’t recall Lone Star ever doing a production run of bikes. They do make nice stuff though. I’d bet it’s just Lone Star parts and someone tossed the stickers on to.
