Johnson87
I was driving my quad went from 4th to 5th and cracked into the throttle out of no where it comes and died now it won't start unless I dump fuel into heads and when it fires it revs out really bad any ideas
the boris
Looks like fuel supply problem but did you check the compression? What is the history of the bike, rebuild recently, any other issues before that happened?Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
trickedcarbine
If it’s revving onnits own and trying to runaway, that’s gonna be a prime indicator for an air leak. I’d check compression before going further. If it’s still got good equal compression, do a leak down to find the air leak.
Johnson87
Just rebuilt motor 120 compression and holds

the boris
Do leak down test and inspect all the boots for cracks and shit, also check the carburettors for clogs Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
the boris
If compression is good than it's probably air/fuel mixture causing thisSent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

the boris
Reeds are good boots and gaskets are goodMight be carburettors, something clogged one of the Jets or might be even fuel tap on the fuel tank, check it for flowSent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

If there is a crack in one of your fuel lines or one of the hose clamps fell off it would be sucking in air. I would check for a cracked fuel line first. That exact thing happened to my banshee. Secondly I would check for is that your jets are all cleaned out. You said the reeds and all the boots are good so I would say it has to be fuel. If you pour gas into the cylinder and it runs for a minute that means ints buning what fuel you had in there and whats coming through your fuel lines isnt enough to keep up. The only other thing I would suggest is to make sure the gas tank vent hose isnt kinked or has something over the end.
