coalhillking
I picked another banshee up in a trade recently. Needed a bunch of stuff so I've been fixing it over the past 2 months. Finally took it on its maiden voyage and the motor locked up. It has a mild port work. Question is can I put a 4 mill crank in with it already being ported or do I have to put a stock stroke crank in it? Not sure if porting has to be done specifically for the stroke or not. Thanks for any help
Killacaviar
You need to have your cylinders ported specifically for a four mil. You won’t gain anything by dropping in a 4mil crank. Best bet is get fresh cylinders and have them ported for the 4mil and get a new crank for them. ( some minor port work on stock cylinders can be modified into 4mil. Just depends on how heavily ported the are. )Or you can just drop another stock stroke crank in it. I have OEM cylinders and an OEM crank for sale on the sales section. FYI. Screaming Yellow Zonker
I have a 4mm stroker on stock port cylinders. I use the provided spacer plate and even with stock port cylinders it rips. If you don't want to use a spacer plate than you will have to have the cylinders ported for the 4mm. Killacaviar
I can assure you. Your motor would run substantially better if ported correctly and ran without that plate. Whatever works...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
