jcarter Posted May 20, 2019 Report Posted May 20, 2019 I'm sure this is posted somewhere else, but I can't find it. I have a factory engine banshee, it just has pods and exhaust on it. Can someone please give me a part number for spark plugs I should be running? Right now I have the NGK 5422 BR8ES plugs in it. Are these the best ones to run or not? Thanks in advance... Quote
O.G BHQ MBR FROM 2000 ? Posted May 20, 2019 Report Posted May 20, 2019 B8ES or BR8ES Is ok. The R just mean it’s a resistor plug which cost a little more $ that’s all. Quote
Ayesully810 Posted May 20, 2019 Report Posted May 20, 2019 yes, i run BR9ES at the dunes, little cooler for the extra load the sand puts on the motor, but a stock motor will be fine with 8s Quote
jcarter Posted May 20, 2019 Author Report Posted May 20, 2019 So what does the 5422 number stand for? I see different BR8ES plugs with different numbers on them. What's the difference? Does it matter? Quote

Tedder Posted May 21, 2019 Report Posted May 21, 2019 I like the solid non-removable tip 8 series with gas and 9 (EG)series in my alcohol motors. Here are the part numbers for standard NGK ES series plugs: Solid tip - B8ES #3683 BR8ES #3961 B9ES #7148 BR9ES #3194 Removable tip - B8ES #2411 BR8ES #5422 B9ES #2611 BR9ES #5722 * R denotes Resistor plug 1 Quote
