Can somebody explain how different length stingers work on GP style pipes (both pipes exit on the same side on a road bike). I want to build a set for an aircooled 73 Rd350 I am working on.

The inner pipe will have a much longer stinger than the outer pipe to get the silencers together if that make sense. Does the shorter stinger length need a piece of internal stinger inside the last cone to keep both stingers the same.

Thats what I thought.

 

I remember a thread quite a few years ago of a member who put a banshee motor in a newer street bike frame and he had really long stingers with the silencers up under the seat, but I can not find the old post
