H300F Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 What jetting are you guys using in your 28 or 30mm Keihin PWKs?? What mods? I got some 30s and I want to get a starting point then I can go from there. I have a good amount of stuff done but I think I can go from your mods and figure what I would need to run. By the way did anyone go from stock carbs to 28 or 30s and what was your stock carb jetting and what did those jets equal in the keihins? Thanks a lot. Quote
scotts96fast Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 we need to know all your mods first.I run 28's pwks with 45 polits, dyno jet neddle in 3 position and 150 mains for the summer. Quote
H300F Posted December 11, 2003 Author Report Posted December 11, 2003 ported with finger ports, +4mm stroke crank with longrods, paul turner mids, 21cc domes, dyna ign, vforce2s, k&n no lid, my mains in my stock carbs were 360s, they ran good but were on the rich side. pilots were 27.5s. needle was in the 5th clip all the way rich. 94BansheeRider Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 I have just installed 28 pwks along with vforce2. I believe they have 152's installed. I have it on the dyno today and should have some numbers later tonight. My old setup was 280's on the stock carbs. I was told there is no way to compare stock jetting to Keihin jetting. If anyone has more info on this, that would be great. Quote
scotts96fast Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 I don't know much about your setup.i'm sure others will help you out. Quote
Dragg-on Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 with a mild port, CPI inframes, I ran 40P middle clip, 155 main (sea level) Quote
H300F Posted December 13, 2003 Author Report Posted December 13, 2003 hey thanks guys. my porter said to try 48-50 pilots and 170-175 mains. hey 94banshee did you post the numbers yet? i didnt see them later Quote
94BansheeRider Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I actually posted them in the ENGINE section of the forum. But it came in at 61.1 RWHP. They had to go down to a 142 main jet because of the K&N filter lid that is on the bike (along with the primary, no outerwears). I was hoping for mid to upper 60's, but was glad to break the 60 mark Quote
