Thatonedude304
Finally got some decent weather so I decided to get the banshee out.. starts and idles with ease but will not take throttle off of idle..
Thatonedude304
Oh yeah and if I pull the choke it's a bit better but not 100% responsive
Ayesully810
needs more fuel, where is your air fuel screw at? you likely need a bigger pilot by a size or
arena314
what mods do you have? elevation? did you make any changes to the quad while it was sitting in the cold months or did it just start running like this after sitting with no changes made to the bike? if you made no changes to the quad it's possible you have a dirty pilot jet. also make sure your engine is air tight and has good compression Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thatonedude304
Air screw is 1 3/4 turn out. Only changes that were made was new stock reeds.
Thatonedude304
As far as mods.. only full dg exhuast, boost bottle and pod filters
Ayesully810
turn both air screw in a full turn or bottom it out after it warms up to temp, if both pipes are getting hot its not a clogged pilot, if it doesnt die after you bottom it out, up the pilot
registered user
if it ran fine last year then its just clogged jets from sitting
arena314
my guess would be clogged pilot. pull carbs apart and do a good cleaning. if that doesnt fix it check for air leaksSent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thatonedude304
Update* pulled the carbs off and cleaned them good. Installed stage 2 dynojet kit. Moved the needle clip to the 3rd position. The pilot jet that's in them has no numbers stating the size of the jets so I left them be for now. The dynojet kit was only main jets and a new needle. With that being said. It runs perfect on half choke. When I take it off half choke it loads up and eventually dies.
dano3
27.5 pilot should get you where you need to be with your setup.
Ayesully810
that no name or number jet stuff is a not ideal. a 27.5 (genuine mikuni jet) pilot should be about where you are at, could prolly use a stock pilot in the humid summer. edit: looks like dano beat me to it. Thatonedude304
Thanks for the info.. I just bought it a couple months ago after a 12 year period of being away from them
arena314
I'd for sure put the right jet in it. could be stock 25 for all you know. 27.5 might do it depending on elevation Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
